Midwest Warehouse was started in February, 1982 by John and Ed Borkowski.  Since our  inception, our goal has been to provide professional, friendly, and consistent service to our valued customers.  We take pride in establishing relationships which develop into long term partnerships.  Our philosophy is to listen to our customers and to satisfy their changing warehousing and distribution needs.  We consider Midwest Warehouse to be an extension of our customers' business.

BEDFORD MOTOR SERVICE, INC.

Shortly after starting Midwest Warehouse, John and Ed Borkowski recognized the need to provide an additional service to their warehouse customers - transportation.

Bedford Motor Service was founded in 1984.  Bedford is a local carrier which services Illinois and its neighboring states on a daily basis delivering both LTL and truckload shipments.

All of our trucks are radio dispatched and our straight trucks are equipped with lift gates.  Starting with only four trucks in 1984 to service our warehouse customers, today we are operating modern power units and 48' and 53' trailers.

In order to increase productivity and efficiency, and to strengthen customer service for our shippers, we have equipped our trucks with the state of the art Teletrac vehicle location system.

Bedford's intrastate authority covers the entire state of Illinois.  Our interstate authority includes 48 states as a common carrier or contract carrier.  We also have a Brokers License.

LOGISTICS RESOURCES, INC.

Logistics Resources, Inc. is a contract labor and management company that was started in 1997, to manage the warehouse and customer service operations for Donnelley Logistics Services.  LRI provides warehouse hourly, clerical hourly, and salaried supervision and management to the DLS operations in both Bolingbrook, IL and York, PA.  The mission of LRI is to provide quality customer service, increase productivity, while decreasing our customers' costs.  We can do this by managing a successful operation, while keeping our staff motivated and productive.

MOUNTAIN STATES LOGISTICS, INC.

 In late 2000, Midwest Warehouse and Absolute Logistics, a non-asset based logistics company in Denver, CO., joined forces to form Mountain States Logistics, Inc.  We are jointly operating a 70,000 sq ft distribution center, located in Aurora, CO.  The facility is rail served by the Union Pacific railroad, has 10 truck dock doors and a 5 door rail siding.  Our customers' inventory is managed by the Maves Warehouse Management and Logistics System, this is state of the art, and real time information.  We have also installed Radio Frequency, bar code scanning and EDI to assist in the facilitation of real time inventory flow for our customers.  Our transportation department and operations department stay in close communication to provide low cost transportation services, including freight consolidation to our customers.
